Grant Earns Second Consecutive CAA Player Of The Week Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Senior guard Shareese Grant (Va. Beach, Va.) has been announced as one of 48 finalists for NCAA Division I Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team. Grant, Old Dominion's leading scorer and a three-time Colonial Athletic Association MVP, is now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team.

Grant, a 2005 First Team All-CAA selection, is averaging a team-best 15.0 points per game. She earned her third CAA MVP distinction last weekend as she helped the Lady Monarchs claim its 14th straight CAA title by pouring in a career-high 35 points in ODU's victory in the CAA finale over Delaware.

The Lady Monarchs (22-8) are heading into the NCAA Tournament this weekend. The 11th seeded Lady Monarchs will take on #6 Virginia in Williams Arena on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on ESPN 2.

The Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team for NCAA Division I will be announced at the Kodak/WBCA All-America Team press conference at the Westin Hotel on April 2, 2005 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
