Fairfax, Va - The Colonial Athletic Association andGeorge Mason University will be broadcasting all of the 2005 CAA Women'sBasketball Championship games live via video Web streaming. Please visitwww.GoMason.com and click on the Championship logo and the games can bewatched using either Windows Media or RealPlayer versions.
#8 Virginia Commonwealth and #9 UNC Wilmington will tip-off the actionin the First Round on March 9 at 5 p.m. #7 Hofstra and #10 William &Mary will follow with an approximate tip time of 7:30 p.m.
Four quarterfinal games will be played on March 10. Top-seeded Delawarewill face the winner of the Virginia Commonwealth/UNC Wilmington game atnoon. #4 James Madison and #5 Towson will square-off at 2:30 p.m. #2 OldDominion will face the winner of Hofstra/William & Mary at 5 p.m. #3Drexel and #6 George Mason will conclude the day's action at 7:30 p.m.
The Semifinals will be played on March 11 with start times of 5 p.m. and7:30 p.m. The Championship Game is scheduled for noon on March 12.
Delaware (23-4, 16-2 CAA) secured the league's #1 seed with a 59-52 winat James Madison (17-10, 10-8 CAA) Thursday night. In other action, OldDominion (19-8, 15-3 CAA) grabbed a 78-65 win at Hofstra (12-15, 7-11CAA). George Mason (12-15, 8-10 CAA) moved into the sixth spot in thestandings with a 46-44 home win over Drexel (18-9, 12-6 CAA). Towson(16-13, 9-9 CAA) topped William & Mary (4-23, 2-16 CAA) 67-52 inMaryland. Lastly, VCU (10-17, 6-12 CAA) defeated UNC Wilmington (8-19,5-13 CAA) by a score of 62-59 in Wilmington.
Tickets for the CAA Women's Basketball Championship are $25 for all ninegames with single-session tickets priced at $13 for adults, $9 foryouths and seniors, as well as $5 general admission seating for CAAstudents with a valid school I.D. All games will be played at the Patriot Center on the campus of GeorgeMason.
