NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion freshman forward Tiffany Green (Chesapeake, Va.) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the week it was announced Monday afternoon by the conference office. It marks the second CAA Rookie of the Week honor for Green.

The CAA Rookie of the Year nominee helped Old Dominion to victories over UNC-Wilmington and James Madison last week averaging 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. She narrowly missed her eighth double-double of the year with 12 points and nine rebounds in Thursday night's victory over the Seahawks. Additionally, she swatted away three UNC-W shots on net helping Old Dominion to a season-high 11 rejections. On Sunday in the regular season home finale against James Madison, Green netted 11 points and hauled in seven rebounds in 20 minutes of work.

Green is currently the Lady Monarchs third leading scorer and is averaging a team-best 8.3 rebounds per game.

Green earned her first honor back on January 3rd after averaging 14.3 points and 11.0 rebounds in games against Harvard, #5/7 North Carolina, and #8 Tennessee. Green collected three double-doubles over the holidays as the Lady Monarchs defeated Harvard 83-55 and took on two Top 25 teams. Against Harvard, Green, in her second career start, picked up her first career double-double with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. She followed with a team-leading 19 points and 11 rebounds at #5/7 North Carolina. Green continued to shine as she picked up double-double number three with a team-high 12 points and game-high 11 rebounds against #8 Tennessee. Over the course of those three games, Green shot .536 percent from the floor.

The Lady Monarchs return to action this week concluding the 2004-05 regular season traveling to Hofstra on Thursday and Drexel on Sunday.
