NORFOLK, VA  -The #25 Old Dominion men's soccer team defeated George Mason 2-0 Sunday afternoon at the ODU Soccer Stadium.  Kevon Harris (Kingston, Jamaica) and Brian Kluckman (Springfield, VA) both scored second half goals to lead ODU.  The Monarchs, unbeaten in 24 straight home games, improve to 10-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association.  George Mason dropped their sixth straight contest and fall to 6-9-1 overall and 2-4 in the CAA.

After a scoreless first half, Kevon Harris got the Monarchs on the board, scoring in the 50th minute, off a rebound from his own shot.  Brian Kluckman scored his first goal of the season in the 81st minute, off a Brian Cvilikas (Highlands Ranch, CO) assist, to give the Monarchs the 2-0 lead.

 

For the game, ODU out-shot George Mason 18-10, while both teams had 10 corner kicks.  Goalkeeper John Connelly (Rockville, MD) saved three shots, earning his seventh shutout of the year.

 

The Monarchs next travel to Charlottesville to take on #2 Virginia Wednesday night at 7:30.  ODU closes out their regular season on Saturday, November 6, when they host William & Mary at 7:00.
