ODU Announces M&W Basketball TV Schedule

Norfolk, VA.-- Old Dominion University announced an increased television schedule for the 2004/05 season, which includes national exposure on espn2, Comcast sportsnet, local cable and the web, via video streaming.

The Monarchs will be featured in a national broadcast on espn2 on Saturday, Feb. 12 when rival VCU visits the Constant Center at 4 p.m, while the Lady Monarchs game at Penn State on Dec. 19 will be aired nationally on CSTV. In addition, seven Monarch and Lady Monarch games will be aired on Comcast sportsnet, reaching 4.5 million homes in the mid-atlantic region. Cox Communications will air locally the Lady Monarchs game at Penn State and the Monarchs at DePaul game on Sunday, Jan. 2 on channel 71.

All home non-televised games will be video-streamed this season on the athletic website, www.odusports.com. Fans can watch the games live from the Constant Center for a monthly fee of $6.95 through the College Pass program, which also provides the audio and video broadcasts of over 100 colleges and universities.

We are very excited about the national and regional exposure our basketball teams will receive this season through our television package, says athletic director Jim Jarrett. From ESPN and CSTV to our Comcast and Cox games, fans all over the country will now be able to follow the teams and the addition of video-streaming allows us to be viewed world-wide."
