ANNAPOLIS, MD - Senior Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH) sits in first place after the first day of the MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship, at the U.S. Naval Academy, with 14 points. Jenny Gervais of St. Mary's is currently second with 17 points. Senior Maureen Castruccio (Pleasanton, CA) is currently third with 50 points, while Cara DiSanti (Seacliff, NY) is 25th with 150 points. The top three finishers qualify for the ICSA Women's Singlehanded National Championship, October 22-24, in Wayzata, MN. Tunnicliffe is looking for her third straight MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship. The competition resumes on Sunday.
