BLACKSBURG, VA. - Ashley Stinson scored three goals to lead theHokies of Virginia Tech (8-5) to a 3-1 victory over Old Dominion (6-5-2)in a non-conference match Friday Night. The loss ended ODU's three-gamewinning streak.
The Lady Monarchs lone goal was pushed in by Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA.) on an assist from Lisa McKenzie (Inverness, Scotland) to made the score 2-1 midway through the second half. The goal was Beeman's ninth of the year and McKenzie's second assist of the season. Stinson scored two goals in the first half and her thirdwas with one minute remaining.
The Lady Monarchs return to action on Sunday when they travel toRadford for a 1 p.m. contest.
