TOWSON, MD -The Old Dominion men's soccer team battled the Towson Tigers to a 2-2 tie Friday afternoon at the Towson Center Soccer Stadium. Ross Mackenzie (Richmond, VA) and Jared Kent (Marietta, GA) scored goals for ODU, as the Monarchs improve to 7-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Towson is 6-4-2 and 1-2-1 in the CAA.

J.C. Cole got Towson on the board first, in the third minute of play, before the Monarchs answered back, with a Ross Mackenzie shot from 30 yards out to tie the game at 1-1. Jared Kent gave ODU the second half lead, 2-1, in the 64th minute of the game, but Towson's Pat Healey scored the game-tying goal, off assists by Sean Cunningham and Andrew Marshall, with help from a corner kick.
For the game, Towson out-shot ODU 22-12 and had a 13-1 corner kicks edge. Goalkeeper John Connelly (Rockville, MD) made five saves and allowed two goals.
The Monarchs travel to Delaware tomorrow night, to take on the Blue Hens at 7:00.
