NEWARK, DE -The Old Dominion women's soccer team battled the University of Delaware to a scoreless tie Sunday afternoon in Newark, DE. The Lady Monarchs are now 3-4-2 and 0-1-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association, and Delaware is now 5-2-3 and 0-1-1 in the CAA. Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Miller (Plymouth Meeting, PA) picked up the shutout for the Lady Monarchs, making four saves during the game.
Delaware out-shot ODU 10-9 Sunday, and had a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks. Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA) had two shots on goal during the game, while Becca McLain (Virginia Beach, VA/First Colonial) had one shot on goal.
The Lady Monarchs return home next weekend, when they host James Madison Friday night, October 1, at 7:00, and George Mason on Sunday, October 3, at 2:00.
