GREENSBORO, NC -The Old Dominion women's soccer team was defeated by the Pittsburgh Panthers 1-0 Sunday afternoon at the UNC-Greensboro tournament, in Greensboro, NC. The Lady Monarchs dropped both games at the tournament and are currently 2-3-1 for the season.
Kristina Francois scored an unassisted goal for the Panthers, 29:20 into the game, to lift Pittsburgh to the 1-0 victory.
For the game, ODU out-shot Pittsburgh 13-11, and had the 4-3 edge on corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Miller (Plymouth Meeting, PA) saved five shots and allowed one goal in 90 minutes of action.
The Lady Monarchs return home next Sunday, September 19, when they host Arkansas at 1:00.
