GREENSBORO, NC -The Old Dominion women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Coastal Carolina Friday evening, in the first day of the UNC-Greensboro hosted Adidas Classic.  Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA) scored in the first half for the Lady Monarchs.  ODU drops to 2-2-1 for the season.

Bobbie Parsons got Coastal Carolina on the board early in the first half, off a Leah Barrett assist, to take a 1-0 lead.  ODU struck back 20 minutes later, when Laura Beeman scored, off a goalkeeper turnover.  With just over 10 minutes remaining in the game, Jill Karelitz found the net for Coastal Carolina to give them the 2-1 victory.

Coastal Carolina out-shot ODU 16-10 for the game, while the Lady Monarchs held a 4-3 corner kicks edge.  Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Miller (Plymouth Meeting, PA) allowed two goals and made six saves for the game. 

ODU takes on Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon at 1:00 in the final day of the Adidas Classic.
