NORFOLK, VA -- Senior forward Monique Coker picked up her third CAA Player of the Week award of the 2003-04 season on Monday after Coker posted back-to-back double-doubles in victories of James Madison and George Mason.
Coker collected her 13th and 14th double-double of the season, averaging 18.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game as Old Dominion picked up conference victories over James Madison and George Mason.
Against the Dukes, Coker was one of four Lady Monarchs in double-figures with 15 points, as ODU notched its 20th victory of the season and improved to 13-0 at home. The senior added 11 rebounds and tied her career-high with five steals.
On Sunday, Coker tallied her fourth straight double-double against the Patriots scoring a team-high 22 points and matching her career-high with 17 rebounds. In addition, Coker shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line and tied her career-high with seven assists as the Lady Monarchs improved to 33-0 all-time against George Mason.
Coker, along with the four other senior Lady Monarchs, will take to the court in their final regular season home game on Thursday night at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The Lady Monarchs host William & Mary at 7:00 p.m.
