James Madison Head Coach Kenny Brooks
"Old Dominion played a good game. It was one of the better defensive games they've played this year. They took us out of what we wanted to do, but we'll rebound from this. We can't hang our heads because we have a very good Hofstra team coming up. We'll learn from our mistakes and become a better basketball team. I give ODU credit. They deserved to win."
"We didn't compete like I wanted us to compete. We're a young team, so we're going to hit some stumbling blocks. We will learn from this experience."
James Madison Senior Guard Jody LeRose:
"It's very disappointing. No one has beaten Old Dominion on its home court since I've been at James Madison. I would have loved to beat them tonight, but it was very disappointing."
James Madison Freshman Center/Forward Meredith Alexis
"We are a much better team than this. I don't know what happen tonight. Everyone in the league knows that. The coached did a great job preparing us, but we just didn't play our game."
Old Dominion Head Coach Wendy Larry
On The Alley-Oop Play To Lawona Davis:
"North Carolina has been running that play for years, but they had Michael Jordan and James Worthy to run it. Lawona Davis has to patten it. We do a good job executing it."
Old Dominion Sophomore Guard Lawona Davis
"My defense created my offense. I got into the lane and was able to disrupt their defense. I created a lot of easy baskets tonight."
