NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion women's soccer team ended Colonial Athletic Association play Wednesday night with a 2-1 loss to William & Mary. Anna Young scored in the first half for the Tribe to give William & Mary a 1-0 lead. Shibaughn Stevens (Penfield, NY) scored next for ODU to even the score. With less than two minutes remaining, Taline Tahmassian scored to give William & Mary the victory. The loss drops ODU to 3-9-4 overall and 2-5-2 in the CAA. William & Mary improves to 11-6-2 overall and 5-3-1 in the CAA.

Anna Young got things started for William & Mary, scoring 21:43 into the game, from a Keri Gordon assist. The Tribe took the 1-0 lead into the half. Shibaughn Stevens evened the match 56 minutes into the game, with an unassisted goal. Taline Tahmassian scored a team-leading 12th goal in 13 games just past the 87 minute mark in the game to give the Tribe the 2-1 lead. Lindsey Vanderspiegel had the assist.

Goalkeeper Kristen Bailey (Hamilton, VA) saved five shots and allowed two goals. Nikki Villott of William & Mary had five assists and allowed one goal. The Tribe out-shot ODU 12-9 for the game. The Lady Monarchs close out their regular season Saturday, November 1, at home against Radford. The match starts at 1:00 PM.
