The 2003 Old Dominion Field Hockey School enters its 15th year working in conjunction with the EC Camp, providing instruction to the serious and high school elite player. ODU field hockey head coach Beth Anders, the winningest field hockey coach in NCAA history, hosts more than 100 participants annually.
The camp brings Coach Anders' proven teaching methods together with an outstanding coaching and support staff to create an unparalled learning environment for aspiring field hockey players. The camp staff features Anders and 15 year ODU assistant coach Sue Myers, along with numerous current Lady Monarch players and alumni. Goalkeepers receive instruction from current University of Pennsylvania assistant coach Gwen Alexander. The four-day camp includes individual instruction, skill application, match related games, game competition, instructional video, and motivational talks.
The Old Dominion Lady Monarchs have won a NCAA record nine National Championships and are the only school to participate in every NCAA sanctioned field hockey tournament. Anders has tallied an impressive record of 429-64-7 in 21 seasons at Old Dominion.
"Over the years, the Old Dominion University field hockey camps have earned a reputation for excellence. I personally am eager to ensure that this tradition continues," says Anders.
