NORFOLK, VA -- Old Dominion head coach Wendy Larry has announced that 5-5 guard Alli Spence (Lafayette, CO) will not return to the Lady Monarch women's basketball team.

Spence made 70 appearances in a Lady Monarch uniform from the fall of 1999 until her departure from the team for medical reasons. During her career, Spence averaged 5.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game and was named the 2000 CAA Rookie of the Year.

The 2002-03 Lady Monarchs finished the season 21-11 overall and captured their 12th consecutive Colonial Athletic Association Title. Old Dominion will graduate two student-athletes and welcome back nine letterwinners along with redshirt freshman Shantel Wilson (Washington, D.C.) and incoming freshmen Angela Brown (Albany, KY), Tish Lyons (Newport News, VA), and Sherida Triggs (Atlanta, GA), who signed with the Lady Monarchs in the fall.
