The Old Dominion sailing team finished a busy weekend with the women's team winning the Navy Spring Intersectional and the coed team making it to the Championship Round of the St. Mary's Team Race with a sixth place finish.
At Navy, the Lady Monarchs racked up 113 points as Corrie Clement and Liz Bower teamed to finish first in the A division with just 50 points. Debbie Capozzi and Maureen Castruccio came in second in the B division with 63 total points.
St. Mary's and Charleston rounded out the top three of the 16-team field with 127 and 141 points respectively. ODU, Brown and St. Mary's were all tied after the first day of racing on Saturday, but ODU came out strong on Sunday to top St. Mary's and push Brown back to fourth.
At the Intersectional Team Race at St. Mary's, the Monarchs made it into the Championship Round on Sunday but finished with a 6-13 record to come in sixth among the nine teams competing in the regatta.
St. Mary's College took the win with a 15-4 mark, edging Georgetown and Hawaii who ended up tied for second at 14-5.
