ODU Women's Golf Team Looking for Prospective Student-Athletes

Jan. 28, 2003

The Old Dominion University women's golf program is looking for current and prospective ODU students to join their newly formed team.

Head Coach Pat Kotten, two-time NorthEast Conference Coach of the Year, will form a team of 8-10 women to create the Lady Monarchs newest program. The golf squad will begin competition as part of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in the Fall of 2003. This is an opportunity for anyone with golf experience to play at the collegiate and national level as part of a Division I athletic department with the availability of scholarships.

ODU is the CAA's seventh women's golf program and will be eligible to participate in the conference championship next season. The team that wins the CAA title earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

For more information about becoming a part of ODU's newest athletic program, contact Head Coach Pat Kotten at 757-683-4553 or stop by the women's golf office in Room 102 of the Health and Physical Education Building.
