Towson, Md.- Randy Tolson scored the only goal of the game for Towson (7-4-2, 2-1-1) to lead them to a Colonial Athletic Association victory over visiting Old Dominion (6-5-0, 3-1-0) on Sunday.
Just 3:11 into the game, Tolson took a pass from Ade Elliot and exploded through the Monarchs defense and as he scored the lone goal of the day.
Although Old Dominion outshot the Tigers 15-7, goalkeeper Andy Hicks played well as he recorded seven saves in the shutout. Hicks, the second-rated goalkeeper in the CAA, earned his sixth shutout of the season.
Junior goalkeeper Sam Cameron (Raleigh, NC) posted three saves for the Monarchs.
Old Dominion will continue their road trip on Wednesday when they travel to Virginia for a non-conference matchup at 5:00 p.m.
