NORFOLK, VA. -- Old Dominion University women's basketball coach Wendy Larryannounced today that Alli Spence, a 5-5 junior guard from Lafayette, CO., willnot return to campus this fall. Spence has elected to extend her medical leaveof absence from the University and the team, which she was granted in mid-Decemberof 2001.
Spence was a tri-captain on last year's squad and named CAA Rookie of the Year for1999-2000 season. She played in six games with three starts in 2001-02, averaging3.0 ppg. No timetable has been set for her return.
