NORFOLK, VA. -Kevin Snapp's(Yorba Linda, CA.) solo home run, in the bottom of the ninth lifted the Monarchs of Old Dominion University to a 9-8 come-from-behind Colonial Athletic Association win over Drexel University Sunday afternoon. ODU sweeps the three-game series to run its record to 21-22 overall and 5-9 in the CAA. Drexel is 16-30 overall and 2-13 in the CAA. Snapp and Drexel's Josh Yocum both hit two homeruns in the game.

Drexel had taken an 8-6 lead on Josh Yocum's two-run homer in the top ofthe seventh, scoring pinch runner B.J. Mcfarland ahead of him. Yocum also hit a solohomer in the second inning.

ODU cut it to 8-7 in the bottom of the eighth as pinch hitter Gary Lowther's(Union City, CA.) sacrifice fly plated Jared Musolf(Lakehurst, NJ.). In the bottom of the ninth Ryan Harvey (Riverside, CA.) doubled to rightfield with one out. He was balked to third, then scored on a wild pitch to tie the score at eight. Snapp, who homered in the third, then hits the game winner of the centerfield fence.

Mike Croley (Jupiter, Fl.)joined Snapp with two runs batted in. He hit a two-run shot with Musolf aboard in the Monarchs four-run second. Braden Watson drove in three runs for Drexel as well. In the fifth inning his two-out bases loaded triple tied the game at six.

Drexel reliever Ryan Higgins came in relief in the third and shut the Monarchsdown until the eighth. Mike Lynch took the loss, while Jonathan Tinkham (Chesapeake, Va. ) picked upthe win.

The Monarchs return to action Monday night when they travel crosstown totake on Norfolk State in a 7 p.m. contest. Drexel plays at Temple on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
