Larry Picks Up 400th Win as ODU Defeats Drexel, 90-57

Philadelphia, PA-The #18 Old Dominion women's basketball team picked up another milestone win this afternoon with a easy 90-57 win over CAA foe Drexel. Old Dominion is now 21-5, 17-0 CAA and has won 136 of their last 137 conference games.

Today's victory was the 400th of ODU head coach Wendy Larry's career and came in impressive fashion, as the Lady Monarchs raced out to a 43-20 halftime lead and never looked back.

Several Lady Monarch players had excellent outings. Junior Okeisha Howard (Va. Beach, VA) scored a game-high 18 and dished out seven assists. Senior Lucienne Berthieu (Rennes, France) put in 17 with eight rebounds and sophomore Monique Coker (Bronx, NY) scored 16. Reserve Kim Giddens tallied 12 on a 6-9 shooting performance.

With her 18 points this afternoon, Howard became the latest Lady Monarch to eclipse the 1,000 point plateau.

Drexel finished with three players in double-figures, led by guard Synia Willis' 15.

Old Dominion held every advantage in this game, outshooting the Dragons 56.7% to 29.5% and outrebounding them 41-32.

The Lady Monarchs will host their final regular season game on Friday, March 1 against William & Mary
