WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Brett Blizzard scored 16 points while Craig Callahanadded six key points in the second half to help North Carolina-Wilmington beatOld Dominion 66-56 on Wednesday night.
Blizzard also grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists as theSeahawks (12-6, 7-1) retained first place in the Colonial Athletic Associationwith the victory.
Anthony Terrell added 12 points and nine rebounds while Ed Williams had 11points for N.C.-Wilmington.
The Seahawks led 28-18 at halftime and built their largest lead at 51-36 ontwo free throws from Brandon Clifford with 10:16 remaining.
The Monarchs (9-9, 3-5) made a run to cut the lead to 54-47 on a basket fromRicardo Marsh with 6:38 left. Callahan then scored six in a row forN.C.-Wilmington to push the lead to 10.
Rasheed Wright scored 23 points for Old Dominion while Marsh added 10points. Callahan finished with eight for the night.
The Monarchs return to action on Saturday when they host William and Maryat 7 p.m. in the fieldhouse. The game will be televised live on Comcast Sportsnet.
