The Lady Monarchs, under the direction of Wendy Larry now in her 15th as head coach, will take to the court in their first showing of the 2001-02 season in the annual Blue-White scrimmage Saturday afternoon in the fieldhouse at 4:00 p.m.
Old Dominion returns every starter from a season-ago including the 2001 CAA Player of the Year, Hamchetou Maiga. Also looking to make a appearance on the court with be Lucienne Berthieu, a two-time CAA Player of the Year, who sat out last season with a torn ACL. Newcomer Evelina "Max" Nhassengo will also be making her first apperance in the Lady Monarch uniform.
The Lady Monarchs first exhibition game will be on Wednesday, November 7th against the Basketball Travelers. The game will begin at 7:35 p.m. in the Fieldhouse.
