WILMINGTON, NC - Junior Geoffrey Harris (Reading, England) and seniorMichael Hospodar finished in the top six to lead the Old Dominion University golf squad to the UNCW River Landing Tournament Championship. The Monarchs wonthe event by ten strokes over the host Seahawks.
Harris has now finished second or better in all three of the Monarchs falltournaments. He shot a 72 today to finish with a 214 for 54 holes, two shots behindmedalist Graig Mason of George Mason. Earlier this season he lost a one hole playoff at Southern Pines,then took second at the Carolina Intercollegiate.
Hospodar took ninth with a 221 and junior Chris Piercy (Reading, England) was 11th with a 222. Murray Rudisill's Monarchs return to action, Oct. 15-16 in the UT Chattanooga Collegiate.
