CHATTANOOGA, TN. - The Old Dominion University golf squad moved upthree spots and took fifth place at the Chattanooga Intercollegiate Tuesday. Senior Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) finished third, just three shots behind tournament medalist Angel Monguzzi of tournament team champion Jacksonville State.
After 54 holes yesterday, the Monarchs were in eight place, but shot the secondlowest round of the day (288) to move up to fifth. Hospodar shot 70 in the final round to tie Brad Morris of Eastern Kentucky, Jose Campra of Jacksonville State and David Thomas of Appalachian State at 208 for 54 holes. Monarch teammate Chris Piercy (Reading, England) finished 16th with a 215, and freshman Aaron Summers (Willis, Va.) was 27th at 219. The Monarchs return to action on Oct. 29 & 30 when they the ODU/Seascape Collegiate in Kitty Hawk, NC.
