MEN'S SOCCER GAME AGAINST CAMPBELL CANCELED(Men's soccer)
Norfolk, VA-The soccer game between Old Dominion and Campbell was canceled this evening due to inclement weather. The Monarchs led the game 3-0 after forty-four minutes before play was stopped due to lightning.
Freshman Trevor McEachron (Woodbridge, VA) put the Monarchs on the board first at the seventeen minute mark off assists from Carlos Mendes (Mineola, NY) and Chad Denton (Va. Beach, VA). Sophomore Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) and freshman Kyle Hartley (Va. Beach, VA) followed up with one goal each before play was suspended.
The Monarchs held a 11-1 advantage in shots and 4-0 advantage in corners.
Old Dominion will play their next preseason game at home on Wednesday, August 22 against East Carolina. The game starts at 7 p.m. and is free to the public.
