Norfolk, VA-- The Old Dominion baseball team wrapped up their three game series with Le Moyne college this afternoon, splitting a double-header and taking the series with two victories in three games. Old Dominion is now 3-11 on the year while the Dolphins drop to 1-2.
Game 1: After Le Moyne took a 3-0 lead in the sixth inning off of Scott Edwardsen's home run, Old Dominion's Jared Musolf (Lakehurst, NJ) answered with a two-run shot of his own to cut the lead to 3-2.
Le Moyne tacked on an insurance run in the eighth, however, and the Dolphins held on for a 4-2 win.

Game 2
The Monarchs staged a come from behind win over the Dolphins, rallying for six runs in the seventh inning. Monarch second baseman Ross Robertson (Chesapeake, VA) finished the game 3-4 with an RBI, and catcher Travis Silver (Weaverville, NC) logged a 2-4, 2 RBI performance.
Monarch pitcher Kevin Evans (Shamong, NJ) was strong in relief, going three innings for the win. Starter Ken Brumfield (Danville, VA) lasted six innings, giving up four hits and two runs.
Old Dominion will return to action when they host in-state foe Virginia on Tuesday, March 6 at the Bud Metheny baseball complex.
