Seeds Set For Alltel CAA Women's Basketball Tournament

Richmond, Va. (March 2) - The seeds were finalized Friday night as James Madison defeated East Carolina to solidify the #2-seed in the upcoming Alltel CAA Women's Basketball Tournament to be held March 8-10 at the Old Dominion Fieldhouse. The Lady Monarchs will hold the top seed for the sixth consecutive season.

The Lady Monarchs finished the season 14-1 in conference play, with their lone loss coming at the hands of #2-seed James Madison (12-4). Both ODU and JMU will have first round byes for the tournament.

The weekend will being at 5:00pm Thursday with the #3-seeded George Mason (10-5), who will close the season at home against American on Saturday, against the #6-seed UNC Wilmington (1-15). The Thursday action will conclude with #4-seeded Virginia Commonwealth (6-9) playing the #5-seeded William & Mary (5-11).
