Vendegh Named To Soccer America's All-Freshman Team 2000

NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion freshman forward Attila Vendegh has been named to Soccer America's All-Freshman Team 2000. It is the first ever national honor bestowed upon a Monarch freshman in the 30 year history of the program.

Vendegh, from Bratislava, Slovakia, has earned numerous awards during the post-season, including CAA Rookie of the Year and first team All-CAA. Vendegh also earned second team All-VaSID honors and was selected to the third team NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region team.

Vendegh led the CAA in scoring with 33 points on 15 goals and 3 assists, and finished the season tied for 30th in total points and 17th in goals per game by the NCAA.
