RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Reggie Brown scored 17 of his career-high 27 points in the first half as Richmond defeated Old Dominion, 76-52, on Wednesday (Dec. 6).
The Spiders (4-1) hit 18 of 30 field goals in the first half, including eight in a row, and also scored 13 consecutive points midway through the half.
Old Dominion never got closer than 11 in the second half. The Monarchs dropped their seventh straight game, falling to 1-7, and are off to their worst start since the 1940-41 season.
Greg Stevenson added 13 points for the Spiders.
Pierre Greene led the Monarchs with 11. Rasheed Wright and Michael Williams had 10 points apiece.
