Sailing Finishes Fourth At War Memorial; Take Third At Women's Victoria Run

King's Point, NY (Oct. 29) - The fourth-ranked coed sailing team of Old Dominion posted another strong showing this weekend, taking fourth out of 18 teams at the War Memorial regatta. The A division team of Adam Burns and Brock Callen took 7th, while the B division team of Brad Funk, Jack Kerr, and Justin Castagne placed 2nd.

Competing at the Women's Victoria Urn in Boston, MA, the sixth-ranked Old Dominion women's team coasted to a third-place finish out of 16 teams. Sailing in snow and high winds, the A division team of Sally Barkow and Allison Calderbank captured third place, as did the B division team of Corrie Clement and Jessica Simpson.

Sailors Brad Funk and Sally Barkow will be competing individually at the Singlehanded Championships in Seattle, WA, Nov. 3-5. Both Monarch sailing teams will resume competition the following week, at the MAISA Women's and MAISA Freshmen.
