The Lady Monarchs (23-4, 16-0) ran off to an 11-0 lead in the firsteight minutes of the game before Virginia Commonwealth scored, a freethrow by Tawanda Washington.
But the Rams (15-14, 9-7) didn't get much more, shooting a dismal 14.3percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes and trailing 32-11 at thehalf. Old Dominion led by more than 20 points throughout the second half.
Nicole Bellinghausen scored 11 points for the Lady Monarchs, andSharron Francis added 10 as Old Dominion extended its CAA victory streakto 99 games.
Kristine Austgulen scored 11 points for the Rams, and Liz Remus added10.
