NORFOLK, VA. (March 1) -- Old Dominion Universitiy junior forward Andre McCullum(Whiteville, NC.) has been selected to the 47-member NABC Student BasketballCouncil that will meet, discuss ideas and offer proposals on issues that affecttodays collegiate basketball players.
McCullum will be one of the seven-memberexecutivecouncil which will meet face-to-face at the FINAL FOUR in Indianapolis, IN.
"This is a great honor to be selected to this council," said McCullum."It's anopportunity to discuss issues that affect us as student athletes and give ourinput tothe NCAA." McCullum leads the Monarchs in scoring (13.0 ppg), rebounding (7.0)And free throw percentage (.785).
The newly formed council met for the first time Sunday via teleconference.Thecouncil will meet, discuss ideas and offer proposals on issues that affectplayers suchas summer recruiting, financial aid, summer school, etc.
