WILLIAMSBURG, VA. (Feb. 18)(AP) -- Alli Spence scored 16 points and No. 16 Old Dominion beat William & Mary 85-43 Friday night for its 95th consecutive Colonial Athletic Association victory.
The victory could prove costly for Old Dominion, though, because scoring and rebounding leader Lucienne Berthieu suffered a shoulder injury two minutes into the game when she landed hard and sat out the rest of the game. She is to be evaluated Saturday, ODU's sports information office said.
The Lady Monarchs (19-4, 12-0) took a 42-17 lead at halftime and coasted. Okiesha Howard added 15 points, Natalie Diaz 14 and Hamchetou Maiga had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
Kate Von Holle led William & Mary (5-16, 0-1) with 11 points and nine rebounds.
The Tribe shot just 27 percent, including 0-for-10 by Quanda Ball, and had 31 turnovers.
