LOS ANGELES (AP) (December 29) -- Juniors Lucienne Berthieu and Hamchetou Maiga paced the Monarchs with 18 and 16 points respectively as No. 18 Old Dominion fell to No. 16 UCLA, 82-76, in Los Angeles.
UCLA (6-4) trailed Old Dominion (7-2) by 12 points before going on a 17-0 run to take a 61-56 lead with 7:08 remaining.
Old Dominion fought back to take a 71-70 lead with 2:46 left in the game. Nicole Kaczmarski scored 18 points as No. 16 UCLA rallied to beat No. 18 Old Dominion 82-76 Wednesday night.
Janae Hubbard made a pair of free throws with 1:29 left and guard Erica Gomez converted four consecutive free throws to give UCLA a six-point lead with 1:01 left to play.
Maiga also added seven rebounds and was 8-13 from the field. Senior Natalie Diaz had 16 points and 6 rebounds for the Monarchs.
Maylana Martin scored 13 points and Marie Philman added 12 for UCLA.
