RICHMOND,VA. (December 13) -- Old Dominion University junior forward Lucienne Berthieu(Rennes, France) was been Colonial Athletic Association women's basketballPlayer ofthe Week for the second straight week. The Lady Monarchs defeated Virginia,86-65 and Denver, 71-49.
In the game against Virginia, Berthieu scored 16 points, hauled in acareer high 15rebounds, blocked three shots and came up with six steals. In the win overDenver,she had 11 points and eight rebounds.
Through seven games, Berthieu is averaging 18.7 points, 9.3 rebounds pergame,and is shooting .623 from the floor. She currently ranks second in the CAA inscoring, and field goal percentage. She leads the league in rebounding.
The Lady Monarchs return to action next Monday, Dec. 20th at home againstVermont.
