DURHAM, N.C. (August 27) -- Duke men's soccer Head Coach John Rennie has announcedthat Pete Sadin has been added to his staff as an assistant coach forthe 1999 campaign. Sadin, who will serve as the Blue Devils' goalkeepercoach this fall, played his collegiate soccer at Virginia WesleyanCollege. He was a first-team All-South selection and the VirginiaIntercollegiate Soccer Association Player of the Year. Sadin has playedprofessional soccer with the Raleigh Capital Express, the Hampton RoadsMariners, and the Raleigh Flyers.
The Blue Devils enter the year ranked No. 16 in the country. Duke iscoming off a 1998 campaign that ended with an 18-4 overall record and atrip to the NCAA Tournament. Duke's 1999 season begins on Wednesday,September 1, when the squad faces Monmouth at 7:00 p.m. in Durham.
