Louis Morris graduated from Old Dominion in 1976 where he was 1976 Tom Scott Award Winner as the top senior athlete. Morris was also selected as the team's Most Valuable Player that year.

Morris went on to become apart of Old Dominion's Educational Foundation's Board of Trustees.
