Bud Metheny Ballpark is the oldest baseball stadium in Conference USA, built in 1983, "the Bud" has seen numerous updates in the last five years.
The Paul Keyes indoor hitting facility was constructed in 2014 and includes four batting cages, and most importantly, a place for the Monarchs to practice in inclement weather.
In 2018, the right field Rally Alley area was reconfigured to include a boardwalk patio that goes from first base up to the visiting team bullpen. Adult beverages and a grilling station are a few of the amenities in the spacious area, including a great spot to watch the game at field level.
A state of the art Daktronics scoreboard was also introduced prior to the 2018 season. The new scoreboard offers in-depth viewing experience and provides replays, highlights and up to the minute stats and player information.
Field turf was installed on the first and third baselines, at home plate and in foul territory on the infield.
The field dimensions are 320 feet down both foul lines, 375 feet in the power alleys and 395 to center field.
