Ben Ward collected a record of 83-33-1 at Old Dominion where he earned All-American honors, placed seventh in the 150 pound weight class and went 3-2 at the NCAA National Championships.

Ward graduated from Old Dominion in 1984. Since then, he made an impact in the wrestling community around Norfolk, Virginia where he coached at Grundy.
