NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women's tennis team learned its opposition on Sunday for the opening rounds of the NCAA Singles and Doubles Tournaments starting Monday at the USTA National Complex in Orlando, Florida.

In singles, Tatsiana Sasnouskaya will face Alana Smith of N.C. State at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Sasnouskaya enters the tournament with a 21-5 record, having been ranked in the top 40 nationally all season and was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year. Smith played line two for the Wolfpack this season, who were national runner-ups in the team tournament, and is 26-8 in singles this year. With a win, Sasnouskaya would face either Layne Sleeth (Oklahoma) or Julie Adams (Virginia) in the second round.

Tuesday will see the doubles tandem of Sasnouskaya and Sofia Johnson take the court against the fourth-seeded duo of Carmen and Ivana Corley of Oklahoma. This is a rematch of a regular season contest at the ITA All-American in October when Sasnouskaya and Johnson took a 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (14-12) decision. The Old Dominion duo is 18-7 on the year and are currently ranked in the top 30 nationally, while the Oklahoma tandem is 20-6.
