NORFOLK, Va. – After an impressive weekend in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Atlanta Regional, the Old Dominion women's tennis team cracked the ITA Top 25 this week entering at 17th.

This the fifth straight season that the team has spent time in the ITA Top 25 and the second time in that span being in the top 20.  The spot is the highest the team has been in school history.

The Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 also was announced on Wednesday and Old Dominion entered the rankings at #20.

"It's great to be recognized amongst the best group of programs in the nation.  This makes the fifth straight year we have spent time in the top 25," said ODU Head Coach Dominic Manilla.

After knocking off then 12th-ranked Georgia Tech and Ole Miss to win the Atlanta regional, the Monarchs now head to the Sunshine State for a pair of nationally-ranked matchups.   On Thursday night, they'll face 13th-ranked Florida at 5 pm.  Two days later, they'll head to Coral Gables to tangle with the 23rd-ranked Miami Hurricanes at noon.
