NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team lost 19-2 to hosts Vanderbilt in an American Athletic Conference contest on Saturday afternoon. Danielle Dundas and Corrinne Stratton notched one goal each for the Monarchs.

"Vanderbilt was a very athletic and fast team," head coach Heather Holt said. "We never gave up today, but we have a lot to work on at both ends of the field. We wish Vanderbilt well throughout the rest of their season."

The Commodores (11-2, 6-0 American) opened the day on a 5-0 scoring run. Dundas halted the run at the 6:59 mark with her 12th goal of the season off an assist from Lilly Siskind. From there, ODU (3-10, 1-5) held Vanderbilt to just one more goal in the first half to make the margin 6-1 at halftime. Elizabeth Scarrone found the back of the net with 4:34 remaining in the first half to break a scoring drought of nine-plus minutes for VU.

A midfielder from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Dundas now ranks third on the team with 12 goals and is fourth with 33 points. Dundas also collected a game-high four draw controls to bring her season tally up to 31 – second-most on the team.

Vanderbilt broke the game open with a 9-0 scoring run to kick off the second half. Stratton added an unassisted marker with 11:48 remaining on the clock for her ninth goal of the season.
