NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University and Taymar Sales U. have signed a multi-year agreement for the company to manage outbound ticket sales for the Monarch athletics program, beginning on April 1. ODU will be the first school from Conference USA to partner with the company which represents schools in the SEC, Southern Conference, Sun Belt, MAC and Big South.

"I have great respect and admiration for Taymar founder/CEO, Mark Dyer, and the talented entrepreneur that he is within the college athletic space. I have enjoyed a working relationship with Mark that began over 30 years ago. Ticket sales are paramount to our financial success and competitive future at ODU. We firmly believe the grave COVID-19 concerns that forced us to miss 2020, while not completely in our rear-view mirror, will be under control for the large majority of our community who wish to enjoy ODU athletic events during the 2021-22 season," ODU Director of Athletics Wood Selig said.  "We must act now and begin the marketing and sales process to allow us to return to capacity crowds of die-hard Monarch fans cheering ODU to victory and national prominence. That process begins now with an industry leader in ticket sales such as Taymar. We can't wait to get started."

"Old Dominion is a great university, with an outstanding athletics program, situated in one of the most attractive and dynamic areas in America," said Dyer. "Wood Selig is one of the most respected leaders in our industry. Though our country is still suffering greatly from the pandemic, the development of the vaccine programs gives us real reason to hope and plan for a 2021-22 college athletics year that welcomes fans back to experience collegiate sports events."
