NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion and ESPN Radio 94.1 have partnered together for Throwback Thursday Monarch Rewinds to air great ODU games of the past. This week's rewind is the ODU men's basketball victory over Western Kentucky after trailing 21-0 to start the game on Jan. 5, 2019. This marked the largest comeback in program history.

"I've been here at the station for 21 of the 27-year partnership with ODU Sports. We are excited to bring back some nostalgic games to re-air for ODU fans and alumni to reminisce," said Keith Barton, Vice President and General Manager of Max Media of Hampton Roads. "We can't wait to get back to live sports and events here in Hampton Roads, but for the short term, I hope everyone enjoys some ODU Sports Radio!"

ODU play by play announcer Ted Alexander and ODU Hall of Famer/color analyst Dave Twardzik are on the call.

The previous school record for largest comeback was set in 2004, when ODU erased a 20-point deficit against George Mason in Fairfax, Va.

"I'm so proud of our guys," said ODU head coach Jeff Jones following the comeback. "Our guys showed no fear tonight. Our effort led to this great win. Coming back like that showed me how much our players care about one another. We refused to quit."

B.J. Stith's 19 points and 12 rebounds led the Monarchs, while Ahmad Caver followed with 18 points, six assists and four rebounds. Kalu Ezikpe chipped in four points, a career-high eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal.
