NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion (0-3-1, 0-0-1) men's soccer team is set to host in-state rival VCU (1-3-0, 0-0-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. The Monarchs are coming off their first league match in a 1-1 draw to UAB on Saturday night.
In the 25th minute of the Monarchs match against UAB, Simon Falck scored the goal, which sent the Monarchs into the locker room with a 1-0 lead. UAB scored the equalized midway through the second half, which sent the two into two overtime periods and ultimately a draw at the ODU Soccer Complex.
About VCU
The Rams own one win this season over East Tennessee State. Last time out, VCU was defeated by #18 UCF on the road. In their last three contests, the Rams were shut out.
Last season, ODU was defeated by the Rams, 4-0 on the road. Despite last years result, the Monarchs hold a 25-10-5 overall record over VCU.
