MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Zach Redding took third place in the 50 freestyle on the first night of the WVU Invite to lead Old Dominion University Swimming.
After day one, the men’s team is in third place, while the women’s squad sits in fifth.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Gustaf Hansson, Brice Bounds, Ryan Lincicum and Zach Redding finished in fifth place with a time of 1:21.82.
In the 500 freestyle, Grey Bremer took fifth with a time of 4:30.17.
Kristi Mosley notched a 21st place spot in the women’s 200 IM with a time of 2:07.07.
Bryce Mortimer finished in sixth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:48.97 and August Eriksson took eighth with a time of 1:52.32.
Lauren Masters earned a 22nd place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.07.
The 50 freestyle saw ODU’s top individual finish of the day with Redding in third with a time of 20.05.
The Monarchs finished third in the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:15.67. The team of Hansson, Eriksson, Jordan Davis and Redding finished less than two seconds behind the second-place team from West Virginia.
