ODU Volleyball Center Opens in a new window

The $3.5 million renovation of the ODU Volleyball Center was completed in the fall of 2020. The volleyball only venue seats nearly 900 fans creating an intimate and exciting atmosphere. Upgrades in the gym include chair-back seats, court cameras, a new scoreboard and sound system, and space for three full volleyball courts.

On September 13th, 2008, Old Dominion University officially opened the L.R. Hill Sports Complex, a 58,000 square foot facility that serves as the home for the Old Dominion University football, field hockey and women's lacrosse programs.

Rowing Facility Opens in a new window

Located on the north side of Lakewood Park on the Lafayette River, just minutes from campus, the ODU Rowing Center is a two-story, 13,000 square foot, boathouse facility that houses the Monarchs rowing program.

Lamberts Point Golf Course Opens in a new window

The nine-hole Lambert’s Point golf course is located on the west side of campus, with several holes overlooking the Elizabeth River. The par-34 course was built by the city of Norfolk, and sits at 2,800 yards long. It has two par-5 holes, three par-4s and four par-3s. The first hole is 60 feet high, which is the highest elevation in the city of Norfolk.

Swimming Facility Opens in a new window

The home of the Old Dominion swim team is housed in the Student Recreation Center in the middle of campus. It is located in between the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center and the Broderick Dining Commons. The pool is located on the side of the rec center with easy access to dorms and Powhatan Avenue.
