The Spartans scored in the first inning as Eric Crozier tripled, thenscored on Quinton Jones single. In the third inning, the Spartans to a 3-2 leadas Brian Smithdoubled and later scored on a Monarch error. Terrence Bain, who reached on anerror scored on a sacrifice fly by Crozier.
